Terry Meeuwsen is one special lady.
I cannot express how thankful I am for the opportunities that have come my way since becoming Miss Virginia. I know it is such a blessing and a huge responsibility to wear the crown and banner of Miss Virginia. I hope I am making my state proud as I try to live my motto-“The greatest blessing is to be a blessing.”
If you would like to watch, this is my visit on the 700 Club Interactive. Everyone there was so encouraging and supportive of my journey to Miss America. Just copy and paste into your browser.
What an honor and privilege it was to appear on the 700 Club. To be given the opportunity to share my platform across the country was truly a blessing. Making it Matter! I may not know you, but I see you, and I value you!! So thankful!

My life is so exciting as I am able to live out my platform daily. I recently traveled to North and South Carolina. A huge thank you to my traveling companion, Vicki Gudger and our host Hannah Kiefer, Miss Virginia 2007. You both are amazing!
My life started in a wonderful new direction when I was crowned Miss Virginia 2016. Since June 25th, everyday has been an exciting adventure. I just want to thank everyone that has supported me. It has all truly been such a humbling experience. My heart is full of gratitude and appreciation, and I’m overwhelmed by those that are reaching out to cheer me on. I’ve already made several appearances, contacts, and am presently in our nation’s capital at the Miss America orientation. Meeting all of these new girls has been a thrill, and I’ve already made many lifelong friends. I will post pictures and videos soon.
Special thanks to Erica Terminello for allowing Hailee Welch and myself to have a CMNH fundraiser at Rita’s. It was truly a beautiful evening spent with family and friends.
I was asked why several of my post all have the same date. Just for clarification- my site was being updated. While this was going on I just kept a diary and then when my site was back up and running I entered everything. It worked 🙂
The Miss Virginia CMNH fundraiser sponsored by sweetFrog was a huge success. I want to challenge all of the workers-Miss, teen, and princess -to post something special that happened that night, and how the MIss Virginia Organization was used to reach out and do something special for others and in turn be a blessing to the CMNH. Post anything you wish. A special thought, something that happened, something that brought a smile to someone’s face, or simply how good it felt to do something for someone else. I can’t wait to read your post.
One of my pet peeves said so well in this quote…
If serving is below you, Leadership is beyond you!
I like that!!!
I loved this! A bunch of ladies Making It Matter!!! We are more than “queens”. We all want to make a difference and be a help to the needy. Have to love this thing called the Miss America System. 🙂
I was accepted in to the Honor’s Program at ODU! Yes, I’m excited!
